Mitzi Ann (Fuchs) Gardner was born in Boulder, CO to Frank W. Fuchs and Harriet Elna (Sheehan) Fuchs on January 26, 1935. She was raised in Calhan, and after going to college and having children, she was very instrumental in forming Harrison District 2 Federal Credit Union back in 1958. She retired in 1997 from same.
Mitzi married Charles M. Gardner on June 3, 1956 in Colorado Springs, CO. Charlie passed away on February 5, 1984 after battling Multiple Sclerosis. On March 6, 1993 she married Gilbert L. Rubeck (Gil) who passed away on May 31, 2008. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husbands and brother Willis Fuchs (Bill).
She is survived by daughter Lisa (John) Newell, son Kevin (Jeanie) Gardner, Grandchildren: Bryan and Kimberly Eurich, and Khrystina (Abdullah) Elomari, Great Granddaughter: Alyson (Aly) Fox-Eurich, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
Mitzi was an extremely active volunteer (and part of the Joy Circle) at First United Methodist Church. She loved square dancing, traveling in their RV, attending multiple George Strait concerts, and watching her Colorado Rockies play baseball in Colorado (plus attending Arizona Spring Training games).

A Private Service and Celebration of Life will be held at FUMC Friday, January 29, 2021 at 1pm. The Private Service will be broadcasted live for the public to view on FUMC’s Facebook page and on their website starting 1:00pm. You may also join us for the Gravesite Ceremony that will follow at 2:30pm at Memorial Gardens. In honor of Mitzi, please wear Colorado Rockies apparel or something Purple. **Masks required at in-person events.** In lieu of flowers, Mitzi’s wishes favored a donation to First United Methodist Church.
