

Myra was born in Trinidad, CO, on February 1, 1948, to Omer and Carole Boberg.
She grew up in Janesville, WI, and moved to Colo. Spgs. in 1960. Myra graduated from Widefield High School in 1966. She was very active with school activities such as sports, pom pom girl, and choir.
She married Gary Thomsen in 1971, where they started their family. They were devoted for 54 years of marriage.
Myra is survived by her beloved husband Gary, daughters; Audrey (Mark) and Brenda (Casey), granddaughters; Dani and Taylor, grandsons; Kazek and Austin and her step-children and grandchildren; Dave (Jane), Randy, Fara (Tim), Nick, Nicole, Josh, Samantha and Christian.
Myra is also survived by her sisters; Cindy, Debbie, and Jenny.
Preceded in death by sister; DeeDee.
She had diverse jobs. She worked as a dance school instructor, switchboard operator, insurance, technology, receptionist, and then finally retired.
Myra had many hobbies. She loved bowling, dancing, gardening, singing in the church choir, bible study, spending time with her grandchildren and family, and she enjoyed having Sunday dinners.
Myra was very warm and inviting, loyal, giving, and adventurous; she made everyone feel welcomed.
A visitation will be held at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, located at 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, on February 12, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on February 13, 2026, at 10:00 am.
The committal service will be held at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, located at 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925, on February 13, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
