It is with sadness we announce the passing of Nancy Pryor Kennedy this past January. Nancy was born on June 7, 1946 in Sacramento, California to Dorothy and Dave Pryor. Growing up in a military family, Nancy lived all over the United States as well as England and Korea.
It was in Korea where she met her soulmate and future husband, William Daniel Kennedy(Dan), now deceased. Nancy is survived by her son, William Daniel Kennedy IV (Bill), of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren: Sierra Rose, and Austin Daniel, both of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters: Jean Pryor Winton and Kate Pryor, both of Denver, Colorado.
Nancy attended the University of California at Davis and graduated from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs with an advanced degree. For several years she was a benefits’ advisor for Academy School District 20.
One of her greatest joys was volunteering as a docent at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. She was a member of the Junior League and attended many events at the Fine Arts Center of Colorado Springs. She enjoyed collecting special holiday ornaments and Simpich dolls.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, 4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80906 or at cmzoo.org
