

Nathan Jeffrey (NJ) Allen, 42, passed away unexpectedly in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 4, 2025.Nathan was born on August 18, 1982, in Tacoma, Washington to Nathan E. and Cynthia K. (Stone) Allen. He had 2 brothers, Justin, and Brandon and 1 sister, Kaitlyn. He attended Lyme Central School in Chaumont, N.Y.
From an early age, Nathan showed a deep concern for animals, caring for sick or injured strays, with a particular soft spot for cats. As the son of a career soldier, Nathan spent his early years traveling throughout the United States and Europe. He was particularly fond of spending time at German monasteries. In his spare time, he volunteered in local churches and enjoyed studying ancient religion. He also loved trips to the cinema, sci-fi conventions, comedy clubs and stage plays with his brothers.
As a young adult, Nathan was active in the Masons, achieving the rank of 32nd degree. He was also a member of the York Rite and Scottish Rite. During his brief time in Colorado Springs, he joined the Eagles club as a member of Aerie Eastside 3260.
Nathan will be fondly remembered for his intelligence, kindness, warm heart and that he loved life most when he was surrounded by his family.
Nathan is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edsil Allen and Wilma Jean Craft and maternal grandparents, Marlyn Floyd Stone and Lucille Joann Southworth. In addition to his parents, Nathan is survived by his siblings, Justin T. (Eunhye) Allen, Germany; Brandon S. Allen, Colorado Springs, CO. and Kaitlyn P. Allen, Pensacola, FL.; His nephew, Theodore (Teddy) J. Allen, Germany; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The Eagles club will host a “Celebration of Life” gathering on January 18, 2025, from 1-3pm to remember Nathan. Nathan’s ashes will return to Florida for his final resting place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a local animal shelter or to the charity of your choice in Nathan’s name would be greatly appreciated.
