Nathan Ian Ganuelas Archer passed away on October 1, 2026. He was born on July 20, 2010, in Clovis, New Mexico. A resident of Fountain, Colorado, Nathan will be remembered as a beloved son, friend, and student whose gentle presence, bright intellect, and warm heart left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Nathan spent his earliest years living near Ft. Knox, Kentucky, until he was 2–3 years old, before moving to Colorado Springs. At age 8, he lived in the Philippines for a year, then returned to Colorado Springs, carrying forward a broadened view of the world and a quietly reflective way of taking it in. He was a junior at the Vanguard School, where he was known as someone who could be shy at first, yet drew people in with an unmistakable warmth. He built a close circle of friends, including some he had known since pre-k and kindergarten—friendships rooted in loyalty, patience, and a steady, thoughtful presence.
Gifted with a sharp mind and a naturally analytical way of thinking, Nathan consistently demonstrated exceptional ability. Even when homework held little appeal, he scored in the top 10th percentile on the standardized tests he took—an enduring testament to his intelligence and his instinct for understanding how things worked. He held big dreams for the future and aspired to become a doctor, a goal that reflected both his deep curiosity and his sincere desire to help others.
Nathan’s interests revealed the breadth of his inner life. He loved music and curated a Spotify playlist of more than 1,000 songs; his listening ranged from classic rock and instrumentals to musicals, rap, punk rock, and everything in between. He also loved to read, moving easily from historical non-fiction to high fantasy, always drawn to stories and ideas that invited reflection. He played video games with friends and approached them with the same bright focus he brought to so much else—always working to improve, always challenging himself, and always finding room for humor and quick wit along the way.
In his school community, Nathan volunteered on lighting and stage crew for school plays. He learned as much as he could about lighting and took real pride in contributing—helping to build tables and doors for productions and supporting the work that brought others into the spotlight. His contribution was the kind that often happens behind the scenes, but it carried the unmistakable signature of care, reliability, and quiet dedication.
Those who knew Nathan best will remember not only how smart he was, but how kind. He had a thoughtful way of listening and an emotionally intelligent steadiness that made others feel safe bringing him their worries. His humor was genuine and well-timed, his wit quick without being unkind, and his presence—gentle, introspective, and sincere—made him someone people trusted for conversation, advice, and simple companionship.
Nathan is survived by his mom and stepdad (Chernobyl Ganuelas and Justin Snyder); his dad and stepmom (Joshua Archer and Christle Archer); step-brother Gabe White; step-sisters Isa White and Eva White;grandparents Richard Archer, Crisanto and Mely Ganuelas: three uncles Joel Archer, John-Ivan Ganuelas, and Christopher Ganuelas; aunt Sarah Archer; and two cousins.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to everyone—our families, friends, the hospital staff he stayed in, Donor Alliance, and the school community—whose support and care have helped immensely during this difficult time. Nathan’s gentle presence, bright intellect, and warm heart will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
