As Neto's writing teacher, I had the opportunity to see him at his best on my last day with him. He made the most awesome line graph of his weekly free-writing exercise .(Yes, we sometimes do math in writing.) It was so good I asked him to help a new student with his. Neto was so was I. When Neto was finished helping his classmate with the graph, he asked me if he could help the new boy with his writing plan. I of course agreed and in about 10 minutes he showed me what they had accomplished. It was good. Neto's pride was all over his face with that ear to ear grin. Right then, the bell rang and it was time to switch classes. I'm so thankful my last image of this wonderful young man was us smiling at each other with a shared pride in his work. I'll miss him. God bless, Neto!
