

Nicholas James Pleshek went to be with the Lord on Thursday August 23, 2012 as a result of a motorcycle accident in Redmond, Washington at the young age of 25 years, 3 months and 13 days. Nicholas was born on Sunday May 10, 1987 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Barry and Kathryn (Jirovsky) Pleshek. Nicholas was excited and proud to become a big brother with the arrival of Nathan in 1992. Nicholas graduated from Air Academy High School in 2005 and entered the U.S. Navy on November 27, 2005 to become a Nuclear Machinist Mate. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate in the Reactor Department until the end of his enlistment on March 27, 2012 achieving the rank of Petty Officer First Class. After his separation from the military, he was employed with Lee Technologies, Inc. as a Critical Systems Technician. On May 11, 2012 he became engaged to the love of his life Charlotte Marie Yaklich of Duvall, Washington.
Nicholas had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed snow skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, four wheeling and target shooting. He took pride in his self-proclaimed nickname “Cat Eyes”. Nicholas was known for changing the rules to a game mid-stream so that he could beat his brother. Nicholas had a brilliant mind, a soft disposition, a quick sense of humor, a heart full of love and compassion, a love for life and a bright, promising future.
Nicholas is preceded in death by his Grandpa “J”, Charles Jirovsky; Grandma, Lois Pleshek; and cousins Timothy and Thomas Burns.
Survivors left to cherish memories of Nicholas include his parents; brother Nathan Pleshek, Colorado Springs, CO; fiancé Charlotte Yaklich, Duvall, WA; grandparents, Lorraine Jirovsky, Seward, NE, and Phillip and Patricia Pleshek , Omaha, NE; Aunts and Uncles, Karen Place, Colorado Springs, CO; Kathleen and Mark Heidenreich, Dublin, CA; Nancy and David Taylor, Omaha, NE; Carol and Richard Hain, Bee, NE; Laurie Burns, Staplehurst, NE; Julie and Leonard Rotherham, Fate, TX; Elizabeth and Chad Peery, Seward, NE; Ronald Place, Colorado Springs, CO; and Kevin Burns, York, NE; and; 31 cousins plus 6 cousins by marriage; great Aunts and Uncles, extended family, his new Yaklich family and a multitude of friends across the United States and abroad. Nicholas has touched many hearts in his short life, and he will never be forgotten. Fair winds and following seas!
