Nick was born March 31, 1980 in Rantoul, IL to Alan and Mary Winzenried. He had three brothers, Matt, Ben, and Nathan; and one sister, Rachel. Nick was a graduate of Liberty High School in Colorado Springs. He had one daughter, Adella, who he loved more than anything.
Nick was an avid snowboarder, a great cook, a tattoo enthusiast, and a stubborn pain in the ass. He had the biggest heart, though, and he would give the shirt off his back to a total stranger if he thought they needed it more than him. His happiest moments were spent in the mountains snowboarding or camping with the people he loved. Nick could not be pinned down, nor reined in - he was truly and unapologetically himself 100% of the time.
Nick is survived by his daughter, his parents, his siblings, his nieces and nephews, along with many close friends.
A celebration of life will be held May 16, 2025 beginning 03:00 pm at Swan-Law, 501 N. Cascade Ave. in Colorado Springs.
