

She was born in Bancroft, Idaho, daughter of Delbert and Lila Welch. Growing up in Bancroft she graduated for North Gem High School.
In 1956 she married Ellis LaVar Watts in Logan LDS Temple. They are the parents of three children. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1961 where she worked as a secretary at Irving Jr. High School.
Her family was her passion and she enjoyed tennis, skiing and travel with LaVar and her friends. One of her fondest memories was when she participated in running the Olympic Torch. As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served a two year mission at the Bishops Storehouse and worked in the Denver LDS Temple for eleven years along with her husband.
Noretta is survived by her sister Lawanna (Bryan) Page of Idaho, two brothers Delbert (Barb) Welch of Arizona and Orson (Colleen) Welch of Washington, her three children Natalie (Rick) Porter and Nathan Watts of Colorado Springs, CO and Terry (Melissa) Watts of Spring, TX. 11 grandchildren Kara(Dave) Bensfield, Ryan (Alyson) Porter, Tami (Bryce) Cayton, Marhya (Cody)Buck, Jordyn (Matt) Wilcox, Nick, Brennan, Collin, Cortnye, Justin (Annabelle), Devon Watts and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Services will be held in Bancroft, ID at the LDS Chapel on Saturday, February 10th at 1 pm with graveside following at the Lund Cemetery. A memorial will be in Colorado Springs on February 17th at 1 pm at the LDS Stetson Hills chapel 5485 Hopalong Trail.
