

Norma Louise Boucher was born January 3, 1933, the youngest of eight children. All preceded her in death. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, in an Irish Catholic family. She graduated from Lowell High as a member of the honors society. She met her husband, Raymond James Boucher, thru his brother and married soon after his return from the Korean War. They had eight children together, five boys, three girls. Donna, Raymond Stephen, David, Joyce, Paul, James and Eileen within twelve years of each other. Her husband passed away 27 years ago.
Norma worked in the gift shop at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs for over 30 years and each Christmas became known as Ms. Claus. Customers got to know her by her first name and though she retired a few years ago, many remain in touch with her to this day. Norma quietly contributed to many organizations that help the poor, the afflicted and veterans. She loved spending time with her family, her fourteen grandchildren and could be seen each week playing bingo with family and friends. She loved life, lived thru tragedy with dignity and grace and never lost her sense of humor.
A visitation will be held at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave. Colorado Springs on Friday, March 4, from 5:00-7:30 PM with a Rosary to follow. Funeral services will be at Swan Law Funeral Directors Saturday, March 5, at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.
