

Norm was born on June 15, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to Steve Leo Rosinski and Agnes Barbara Wietrzykowski. He had 3 brothers: Steve Jr., Ronald John, and James Michael. Steve died in 2015 and Ron in 2014. Norm joined the Marine Corps in June 1950 and served twice in Korea, where he earned 4 medals before his June 1956 discharge. He never forgot: ‘Once a Marine, always a Marine’. Norm put an American flag pin in the label of every jacket he wore!! He married Jean Gerity on May 2, 1953 and together they had five children: Ann Marie, Thomas Edward, Janet Marie, Michael Edward, and David Edward. They lived in California, where Norm worked for several small electronics businesses. Jean passed away on Sept 21, 1975. Michael died in 2001 and David in 2012.
Norm married Virginia “Ginny” Eaton on April 12, 1980. In February 1982, Norm’s company transferred him to the beautiful Colorado Springs, where he worked until his retirement on July 31, 1997. Ginny took Norm travelling in the United States, Mexico, Canada, South America, Great Britain, Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Norm and Ginny took dance lessons and joined the International Polka Club (which later became the International Dance Club) where they danced together for 30 years. Norm served on the Board several times as Treasurer. At the Club, Norm and Ginny taught dance classes and led the exhibition dance group that performed at schools and nursing homes in the area. They also successfully ran the ballroom dances for 10 years. They moved to La Scala, a senior gated community, in August 2000 and were active within it.
Norm is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Ginny, his loving children, Ann and her husband Jim in Boynton Beach, FL, Tom and his wife Melinda in Pearland, TX, Janet in Hayfork, CA, and the widows of his sons Mike and Dave, Carol in Sonora, CA, and Mary Lynne in Florida, respectively. Norm’s 14 grandchildren and spouses and 9 great-grandchildren, are spread amongst California, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Florida, and Israel.
Norm’s services will be Thursday, February 9th at St Joseph Catholic Church, 1830 South Corona Avenue, beginning with a Rosary at 10:30 am, funeral Mass at 11 am, and concluding with a “Celebration of Life” in the Fellowship Hall at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Joseph Catholic Church in memory of Norman Rosinski.
