He attended the University of Iowa before the World War 2 draft. He served as 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp, and met Minnie Schmermann in New Mexico where he served. Norton and Minnie were married in Denver and moved to Colorado Springs in 1946 where they started a clothing store on Tejon Street. He served on several community boards and was a very supportive donor.
Norton is survived by two sons, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. His daughter passed in 2014.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Sons of Israel Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
