Opal Winston was born in Summerfield, Louisiana November 27, 1933. She departed this life February 6, 2016. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1964. She was a member of Lakeside Church of Christ. She worked for School District 11 at John Adams Elementary School and Air Host Catering until she retired. Opal was preceded in death by her mother, Angie Price; three brothers, Booker T. Burns, Robert Burns, and Floyd Burns; three sisters, Helen Kendrix, Mary Jean Lyons, and Rosie Mae Thomison; one daughter, Linda M. Allen; and one grandson, Raffael Winston. Opal leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Wilma Joyce Winston, Theressa Winston and Carolyn Winston; one son, Gary Winston, all of Colorado Springs; two sisters, Doris Burns of Saginaw, Michigan and Allain (Earl) Green of Las Vegas, Nevada; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
