Patricia Emrick

Pat was born as the middle child on September 28, 1940 to William Hanneman & Sophie Conroy in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. Pat attended high school in both Gordon and Curtis, Nebraska graduating in 1958.

She graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelors in Education followed by a Masters Degree from the University of Northern Colorado. With a heart for people, she went on to pursue a career in special education, owning and operating a daycare center, working as a speech therapist, and later as the Director of Special Education for both Shannon County School District on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and the Central Consolidated School District on the Navajo reservation in Ship Rock, New Mexico.

What Pat loved the most in life was helping and interacting with others. Her career in special education was very fulfilling. Pat learned to appreciate the simple, true things in her life; friendship and family were her treasures. Her final retirement years were spent in Colorado Springs. We will miss her greatly.

Pat was predeceased by her parents, husband, George and siblings, Teri, Butch, Judy, and Alan. She is survived by her sister Lois Swanson, her daughter, Anneke Lee and son-in-law, Randy Lee; granddaughters, Tessa, Kristina, and Makaela Lee; and great-granddaughter, Wren Olivia Morgan.

A private burial will be held at Evergreen Ceremony in Colorado Springs, CO.
