Born in Del Rio, Texas, Pat grew up in a loving home with her mom, dad, 3 brothers and sister at the Val Verde Winery. Her childhood, like her life, was filled with many adventures including fashion modeling, meeting famous movie stars like Marlon Brando, and dancing with President Lyndon B. Johnson. At age 16, Pat went to college at St. Mary’s of Notre Dame and finished her degree at Texas Tech where she met lifelong Tri-Delt friends. After graduation she worked in civil service at Laughlin Air Force Base. While there she learned to fly and was the first women to solo a plane out of the base. During this time, she began her greatest adventure when she married the love of her life, Vic Hanna, with whom she shared a beautiful life for 58 years.
Pat and Vic moved to Colorado Springs in 1974 after Vic retired from the Air Force. Pat was a devoted wife, loving mother, and devout Catholic supporting the church and community through volunteer work. She was an avid golfer, cross-country skier, hiker, and fantastic cook. She will be remembered for her love of family, faith in God, and the countless lives she touched.
Pat will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Vic; daughter Rochelle Hanna (Dimitri Struck); son Scott Hanna (Missy Hanna); grandchild Vivian; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Catholic Charities of Southern Colorado.
