Patricia Ann Patterson

Patricia A Patterson our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend died Aug 15, 2020 at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs after her long health journey surrounded by some family and friends following her beloved husband Charles who passed away just six months ago.

A semi native of Colorado Springs since 1972, Pat was born in Akron, Ohio September 19, 1942 her family home where she graduated Buchtel High School then married Charles in 1962. Quickly becoming a military wife and mother of two children she was much more than an exceptional homemaker taking on opportunities like on base thrift store manager, coordinating officers wives events and activities, teaching sewing and crafts to both kids and adults, a little real estate, preschool teacher a Calvary UMC, and becoming an award winning fiber artist in clothing design and in later years doll making. She was also a long time member of Soli Deo Gloria and Calvary UMC choirs which despite her physical status was a passion that defined her commitment and drive.

Pat is preceded in death by her Father Joseph and Mother Fran Hunter and recently by her beloved Husband Charles. She is survived by Children Laurie Patterson (Shirlene Davis) & Michael Patterson (Debbie) Grandchildren Jonathan (Caty), Michaela, Jessica, Kimi, Aiyana, Kylie and Michaela Davis, her Sisters Terry and Chris and many extended family who all love her very much.

A family memorial service will be held Friday August 21st 2020 10:30am in an outdoor garden setting, a favorite of Pat’s. Given the challenging social gathering guidelines the service will be recorded and posted for those outside the family wishing to participate.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be given to Soli Deo Gloria to continue their music for the community Pat so dearly loved.
