Paul L. Gustafson

Paul Leroy Gustafson passed away peacefully in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the age of 84, on May 25, 2025. He left this life surrounded by loving family in the supportive community at Winslow Court.

Paul was born to his parents, Paul and Genevieve Gustafson, on October 2, 1940 in Duluth, Minnesota. He went to school at the Nazarene Bible College, the Colorado State Patrol Academy, and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

Paul was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, although that is not the career he chose. After graduating, he joined the workforce as an Electronic Technician at Hewlett Packard (HP). He spent 23 years at this career. Outside of work, he enjoyed going to Branson, MO, woodworking, watching action movies, playing his guitar and singing, playing dominoes, improving his landscaping, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Paul was also a proud member of Village 7 Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs.

Paul is survived by his devoted wife, Ellena F Gustafson, his daughter Robyn Lindemann (Jerry), Sons Wade Gustafson (Janice) and Dale Gustafson (Carol), Stepsons Larry Hicks and Rodney Hicks, and 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents and siblings, Linda Tuhkanen and Gerry Gustafson.

A visitation for Paul will be held Monday, June 2, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. A graveside service will occur Monday, June 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
