

Peggy Annette Shaw passed away peacefully October 23rd after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 9th, 1946 to Walter and Ellen Hublein in Detroit Michigan. She was the oldest of 3 children and was predeceased by both her siblings. Peggy earned an undergraduate degree from Michigan State and an MBA from UCCS. She worked for Kaman Sciences/ITT and also taught in a local MBA program. She married Howard “Chip” Shaw Jr. on February 13th 1993. Together they spent time in their homes in Colorado Springs, Mesa Arizona and Leadville. Chip passed away in 2022.
Peggy loved to travel and traveled all over the world. Her careers in accounting and education also took all over the US and even to Korea. She was an adventurous woman and enjoyed traveling in her Volkswagen camper van between jobs. In her younger years, she would travel with a ski club from Oklahoma to Colorado. Peggy enjoyed bridge and other card games with friends. She was a great cook and entertainer. She loved to read and enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her spare time. Peggy was a Christian and attended First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs. Peggy volunteered at Crossfire (a local foodbank) over the years and asked for donations to be made to them in lieu of flowers.
Peggy is survived by Heidi Hublein (niece) and step children Kenneth Shaw, Ann Rodgers and Norm Shaw.
There will be a Celebration of Life in the Cathedral Room at First Presbyterian Church on December 9th at 2:00 pm.
