Perry "Pops" Ramquist

Perry Alan Ramquist "Pops", beloved husband of Debbie Lyn "Rose", father, grandfather, great- grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on April 12, 2018 in the Denver VA hospital. He was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on December 22, 1958, the eldest of four children born to Tex and Nancy Ramquist. Pops graduated from Mitchell High School, Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1977. After high school, he enlisted in his beloved United States Marine Corp. After his service in the Marines, he attended Pikes Peak Community College and received his degree in Food Management. He worked as a private chef for two years and became the Assistant Manager of Au Bon Pain French Cafe Bakery in the Citadel Mall until it closed. He returned to school for computer science. For ten years he owned and operated PAR Computer Consulting, He then worked at Glen Eyrie as a Novell Network specialist. Disabilities prompted his early retirement. Never one to remain idle, he assisted his wife with the administration of PAL Endeavors, a Jan-Pro franchise. Family, friends, and the Marines were extremely important to Pops. An avid motorcyclist, he joined and became the Vice President of the Southern Colorado Chapter of the Devil Dogs Motorcycle Club; all members are Marine Veterans. He loved straddling his Harley Davidson and hitting the open road. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 36 years, Debbie Lyn "Rose"; loving son Jeffrey "Opie" (Mags) of Nun eaton, Warwickshire, England; precious grandchildren Allyson, Gemma, Tasha, Liam, and Skyla; great granddaughter, Kira Lynn; siblings Steven (Tina), Daryl (Debra), and Melodi (Ray); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a battalion of friends and brothers-in-arms. He was preceded in death by his father, Tex; granddaughter, Tasha; and his loving "Granny". Visitation will take place at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903 on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. His Celebration of Life ceremony will take place immediately after visitation. Dress is casual. He will be interred at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery when construction is finished in the fall of2018. Semper Fi and Ride in the Wind, Pops. Forever Free.
