

Polly Lee was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on January 30, 1956 to the late Pastor Oscar and Ellena Welch. She went home to be with the Lord on October 18, 2025.
She was educated in the Elizabethtown Independent school district. After High School she attended the University of Kentucky and graduated with a bachelors degree. She later graduated from Arizona State University with a master’s degree in Social Work.
Polly was a loving wife of 38 years to Edward Lee and mother to 4 children. She dearly loved her family.
Polly and Ed came to know each other at church in Phoenix, Arizona and married a year later. To Ed she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
Polly had a heart to help people. She helped save many babies by helping mothers see that abortion was not a good alternative. She also counseled military personnel, and special needs students.
Polly was born the seventh of twelve children. She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Ellena Welch, brothers Oscar Jr, John, Thomas and sisters Kaye, Wanda, Darlene.
Polly leaves to cherish her memory husband Edward, daughters Victoria (Michael), Ellena; sons Zachary, Edward Jr.; sister Marlin Deanna Welch of Louisville; brothers Joe Welch and Phillip Welch, both of Louisville, Marvin Welch of Lexington and Curtis Welch of Silver Creek, Md and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, located at 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910, on October 29, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at Friendship Assembly of God, situated at 3685 New Center Point, Colorado Springs, CO 80922, on October 30, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
The committal service will be conducted at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925, on October 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
