Randal "Randy " D. Staggs

Randal “Randy” D. Staggs, 52, passed away June 18, 2011 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born September 20, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had resided in San Diego, California and later in Colorado Springs.

Randy was a 1977 graduate of Northwest High School in Indianapolis. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for AutoZone in Colorado Springs as the Maintenance Supervisor for the Front Range territory.

Randy is survived by his mother, Linda Owensby; stepfather, Jerry Owensby; sister, Rianne Zinda; stepsisters, Jeanine Owensby, Diane Owensby, Patricia Leeper; stepbrothers Mark Owensby, Mike Owensby; half brother, Ronnie Staggs; half sister, Robin Staggs; nephew, Derek M. Zinda and niece, Chelsie L. Zinda. Randy is also survived by extended family in Indianapolis; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and loved friends. Special Aunt Lita was with mom, Linda at birth the day Randy came home from the hospital.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Ronald J. Staggs and a nephew, Nicholas D. Zinda.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 6:00 p.m., at Grace and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church - Chapel, 601 N. Tejon Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado. (Due to an outdoor event, please enter through the Monument Street entrance). A reception and gathering will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 6:00 p.m., immediately following the memorial service in Taft Hall, Grace and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 601 N. Tejon Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Randy’s honor to the American Diabetes Association.
