February 10, 1971 – September 8, 2020
Raphael Aldamas Saiz entered this world on February 10, 1971, He left it on September 8, 2020. He was the loving son of Gilbert Joseph Saiz and Nancy Virgene Towner Saiz. He was the loving brother to Edward Joseph Zamarripa, Steven Gilbert Saiz, Veronica Ann Saiz Sanchez, Stephanie Marie Saiz Kuzcan and Michelle Rae Saiz Greis. And finally he was the loving father to Jacob Alexander Saiz and Caleb Aldamas Saiz both of whom were the center of his heart.
While Raphael can be described as an ordinary person who lived an ordinary life to his family he was a unique gift given to us to cherish while we shared our lives with him. Without question he was of good heart and believed deeply in family and was truly a caring and loving son and father.
Raphael worked many years in the restaurant business and in his last years he was owner and manager of Rosemont Home, a boarding home dedicated in providing a home for the mentally challenged. Raphael loved to paint and drew. He was always interested in art and art history and read of many artists of the past. He enjoyed going to galleries and never missed the opportunity to catch traveling exhibits. He had many favorite artists but the one he most admired was the surrealist painter Salvador Dali.
Raphael will be deeply missed by all his family and friends but we all take comfort in our faith knowing that he is resting finally in the arms of our Lord.

I wish I could go back to the days when us cousins would hang out at Grandpa and Grandma Saiz' house and eat then play in the huge yard. We had so much fun exploring Grandpa's garage. Raphael will live on in my heart, his smile and kindness. I will never forget the beef brisket he made for us just a few years ago. It was the best ever. The love he put into it showed. We could all learn something from our Raphael -- doing for others and smiling more often. He is with Jesus now and we should all find comfort in knowing that we will all be there soon.
Love, light, and always in my heart, Raphael and my familia.
