

Rex was born August 22nd 1979 in Louisville, Kentucky to Ronald and Yong Skaggs. Rex had one brother, Micky. As a child Rex and his family lived in multiple states, including Texas, Florida, Colorado, before returning to Kentucky and settling down in Lexington and then Louisville. Rex attended Slaughter Elementary, Bruce Middle, and Jeffersontown High schools in Louisville Kentucky. After graduating high school he started working and later became a great business man and entrepreneur.
In 2000 Rex had his first daughter Alexandria in Louisville, Kentucky. Him and his family moved to Colorado Springs in 2001 and started a sign business. In 2003 they operated bartending schools all over Colorado and Rex found his passion for being self-employed. He started and operated schools in Arizona, Florida, and Colorado. In 2011 Rex had his second daughter Grace in Arizona. His latest endeavor was operating body shops repairing cars. Rex always worked hard to provide for his family and live his best life.
Rex always enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with his friends. But most of all he loved his family. He had multiple hobbies from playing cards to video games. Rex was always fun to be around, his humor was infectious and always made people laugh. As great as he was at sales and business, he was a better father, son, and brother. He will truly be missed.
Rex is survived by his daughters Grace and Alex; his parents Ronald and Yong; his niece Avalee; and his brother Micky.
Rex will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs 4/4/2025.
