Richard Ritchey

Richard Raymond Ritchey, most knew as Rich, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Monday, January 13,2025 at the age of 78. He was born on November 21, 1946 in Pueblo, Colorado where he grew up with his mother Irene, father, Kenneth and two siblings, an older brother Roscoe and younger sister Diane.

He worked as a naval engineman, handyman, and teacher’s assistant for special needs children.

He was actively involved in going for walks, gardening, pawn shop hunting, loved dancing,and in his words collecting treasures.

He is survived by by his youngest daughter, Elizabeth, her older sister and her two children, who wish to be unnamed.

He loved beauty - flowers, brass and glass figurines, nature, sunrises, and so many beautiful wonders. He also much loved shopping for gadgets and tinkering. He was an engineer by birth and made many inventions.

Thank you for caring about and loving this man with all the qualities and flaws that made him beautiful and deeply missed.

A visitation for Richard will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with reception to follow at 1:00PM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
