Robert Keith Juranek

Robert K. Juranek died February 14, 2017, at the age of 69. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on May 6, 1947, and worked for Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs from 1981 to 1996. He is survived by his brothers Larry W. Juranek of Anaheim, CA and Dennis D. Juranek of Atlanta, GA.; and two nieces Jenifer Juranek of Richmond, TX and Lauren Juranek of Corvallis, OR.

He was preceded in death by his father Henry Juranek in 1986 and mother Erma N. Juranek in 2016.

He loved to visit and interact with his large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also loved fishing and traveling with his brothers; took great pride in cooking (his favorite recipes were kept in memory); and spent hours surfing the internet and playing computer games. His outgoing personality and friendly smile instantly endeared him to everyone he met. Despite a lifetime disability caused by cerebral palsy and a long bout with cancer, he remained cheerful and faced each new health challenge with remarkable courage.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO. 80910
