Robert Moyers

Robert Matthew Moyers, known affectionately as Bob, passed away at his home on September 6, 2024, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the city where he was born on February 22, 1948. A respected lawyer and dedicated traveler.

Bob graduated from the University of Chicago and continued his education at Colorado Law at the University of Colorado, paving the way for a successful career in law. Beyond his professional achievements, Bob was a beloved member of his community and a devout participant at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Bob loved to travel, loved movies, spoke several languages, and would reluctantly discuss politics.

He is survived by his brother, James P. Moyers II (Sandra); nephew, Matthew James Moyers (Ann); nieces, Cresta Moyers Derry (Dave) and Bond Moyers Schmit; as well as grandnieces and grandnephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, James P. Moyers and Helen Moyers, and his brother, Thomas C. Moyers.

Swan Law Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements.

A Rosary will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, followed by a Requiem Mass at 11:00 AM, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Colorado Springs. A burial at Eastonville Cemetery in Black Forest, CO will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. A reception will follow the graveside service back at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bob’s memory. Bob Moyers will be deeply missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication.
