

Born July 13, 1948 in Vicksburg, Michigan, Died November 13, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Proceeded in death by her parents Lyle and Lauretta Brooks of Colorado Springs, Colorado and her son Gordon Waters of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
She attended Beloit Catholic High School in Beloit, Wisconsin, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and Regis University with a Masters of Arts in Counseling and was a member of Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society.
She is survived by her husband Richard Waters, her brother Robert Buck and Jane Nagy of Bradenton, Florida, her daughter Lauretta (Missy) and James Bare of Gunnison, Colorado, son Quintin (Shane) and Kris Waters of Pompano Beach, Florida, her son, Tim Waters and grandson Wesley Waters of Fountain, Colorado, granddaughter Sidney and Josh Hartner (Bare), granddaughter Carly Jo Bare, all of Gunnison, Colorado, grandson Zachary Bare of Bozeman, Montana and cousin Harlan and Carol Southworth of South Beloit, Illinois.
She was self-employed and worked with Achieve Whole Recovery of Colorado Springs, was a 20 year member of St. Patricks Catholic Church where she was a part time director and member of the 7:45 am choir. In earlier life, she was a Girl Scout leader with the Glowing Embers Council where she introduced volunteering to her troop which is now a standard achievement award.
A Vigil will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 6455 Brook Park Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 90918. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Monday, November 22, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The burial will be at 9:15 am on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado 80236.
