Roger Esgar

Roger Herbert Esgar passed away Thursday March 29, 2012. Roger was born June 7, 1933 in Lamar, Colorado. He spent his growing years in Wiley, Colorado until he was 13, then the family moved to Cascade, Colorado. Roger graduated from Manitou Springs High School and then attended Arizona State University. He then joined the Army.

Roger worked for thirty years for the Department of Transportation for the state of Arizona as an electrician.

He is survived by his daughters Mary Dunny and Linda Carroll, stepsons Mark and Patrick Payne, grandchildren Chad Dunny, Ashley Cones, Josh Carroll, Baily Carroll and Robbie Payne, great-granddaughters Riley and Clover Cones, brothers Bob, Bryce and Don and their families. He also survived by many cousins and his dear friend Shirley.

Roger will truly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Swan-Law Funeral Director’s Cascade Chapel. A gathering of family and friends at Mo’s Diner, 108 Manitou Ave., Manitou Springs.
