Ruby Juanita Blanot, 78, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away Monday February 11, 2019. She was born in Marshall, Colorado on May 9, 1940. Ruby graduated from North High School in Denver. She lived in Denver, Loveland, Fort Collins, Pueblo West, and Colorado Springs.
Ruby worked at Integrated Circuits for Hewlett Packard of Loveland, Colorado and Comlinear of Fort Collins. She was a quality assurance manager. In her younger years she worked as a soda jerk at Celebrity Lanes in Denver, Colorado. She also worked on the West Coast harvesting produce.
Ruby was a member of Unity Church of Fort Collins and Religious Science of Boulder, Colorado. She had a passion for camping, fishing, playing cards, bowling, golf, fast pitch softball, volleyball and country dancing. She also loved to travel. Family and friends were extremely important in her life. Her friends became family to her.
She is survived by her partner in life of 25 years Mary Wulf, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Tressie B. Blanot and Agnes Louise (Steggs) Blanot, and her brother “Bertie” J. Blanot.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1pm on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Swan Law Funeral Directors at 501 N. Cascade Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
Her ashes will be spread at Horsetooth Reservoir at a later date.
