

Sandy grew up in Pasadena, California. She enjoyed swimming and going to the beach in Oceanside, California for vacations with her family. She attended Pasadena city schools and Pasadena City College. She loved going on a trip around the world receiving a scholarship when she was 19 on Chapman College 7 Seas program. Her favorite ports were Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia and Kenya. She loved the people all around the world and the trip made a huge impact on her life.
Sandy graduated in 1968 from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in History. She continued on for another year to get her Elementary Teaching Certificate in 1969.
After moving to Oklahoma, Sandy received her Masters in Elementary Education in Oklahoma and her Law Degree at the University of Oklahoma.
In addition to California and Oklahoma, Sandy also lived in Texas, Louisiana, New York, Minnesota, Hawaii and Colorado with the final years of her life spent in Colorado Springs.
Sandy interned at the Public Defender's office in the Juvenile division in Oklahoma City then after moving to Colorado Springs, she practiced law in Colorado Springs representing children and the elderly including as a Guardian ad Litem. Sandy enjoyed being a professor at Colorado Christian University for 14 years, teaching numerous courses.
When Sandy turned 60, she became a flight attendant for SkyWest Airlines. She than became an inflight auditor and Lead Instructor for SkyWest. Sandy loved getting to see all the places she got to travel with SkyWest, and working with all the great people there and worked for SkyWest until she was 70.
When Sandy retired, she loved having time to spend with family and friends, mentoring and encouraging single mothers at Family Life Services, and traveling around the world. She especially enjoyed biking in the Netherlands, and having time to travel to and around Italy and other parts of Europe.
Sandy loved Jesus. Sandy loved to encourage and pray for people, and was so grateful for His amazing grace in her life. Through it all she learned to trust in Jesus, she learned to call upon His name.
Sandy had five sons that were a very big part of her life: Mark, Matthew, David, John and Joe (Deceased).
Sandy really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren - Ace and Jet (Mark and Heather's children), Grant, Macy and Brady (Matt and Melanie's children) and Wyatt (David and Ali's child). Sandy was known to her grandchildren as "Tutu" which is an affectionate term for Grandmother in the Hawaiian language.
Sandy was very loved and will be greatly missed.
