Sarah Mae Greenlee

Sarah will be lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews; Bill Stiles, Sheila Stiles, Dennis Shull (Greenlee), Tina Linne (Greenlee/Shull), Robert Greenlee, Justin Greenlee, Ashli (Greenlee) & Angel Chavez, Vanessa Schwartz (Greenlee), Alyah Schwartz, Alec Schwartz; Sister-in-law Priscilla Stiles; Brother-in-law Charles Greenlee; cousins and dear family members; best friend Jean Krambeer, and many loving neighbors, Al, Mark, Colleen, Kathleen, Robert, Linda, Nick, and Renee.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Terry Greenlee; brother Edward; Parents Mary and John; stepdad Ralph; and nephew John.

Sarah worked many jobs in her youth before settling in on a career at Walter Drake where she became a supervisor and friend to many co-workers. She left for a few years to care for her mother before returning to Walter Drake to finish out her career. Sarah always spoke fondly of her time at Walter Drake and held dear the many friendships she made along the way. One of her favorite times each year at Drake’s was the company picnic, because she was able to bring together her family and work family in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Thank you, Walter Drake and Sons, for making those moments special and remembering the importance of family and community.

Among her many interests, Sarah enjoyed planting flowers in her yard; listening to music, especially Elvis Presley; fun trips to Cripple Creek with friends and family for time on the slot machines where she would often recount her luck and ability to win as fast as Terry could donate; trips to the lake with friends and family for camping, boating, and relaxation; and most of all, spending time with her loved ones, talking, laughing, and loving. Please join us in celebrating the life of this incredible wife, aunt, mother figure, daughter, sister, and friend as we lay her to rest with her loving husband Terry, at Memorial Gardens in Colorado Springs.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO, 80910.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gardens.

Burial to follow the service at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
