

On May 8th, 2021 Scott Kevin Levey of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away at the age of 69. Scott was born on March 5, 1952 in Luverne, MN, and grew up in Lincoln, NE with his parents Don and Joyce Levey.
Scott was a graduate of Lincoln East High School where he played football and baseball. He then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he studied Business Administration and was a member of the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta.
After college, Scott married and moved to Omaha to raise his family while enjoying a career in finance and real estate. He really loved to go all out with everything he did. Scott was very active in his children’s lives and found joy in coaching their sports, and more than often found himself leading their teams to win championships. He was well-known for celebrating the holidays and you could always bet that he had the best Christmas light and Halloween displays in the neighborhood. He was a competitor and loved to win with style and grace.
Later in life Scott moved to Colorado Springs to enjoy his family and passion for the mountains and outdoors. You could always find him at his favorite hangout Kelly O’Brian’s, at home cooking some of his famous family recipes or out exploring the local mountains. When it came time for music, Scott was always happy to show off his natural talents playing the harmonica, piano or trumpet. His friends & family could always count on him for his big heart, calm and collected personality, and down to earth demeanor. Not to mention, Scott always knew how to light up a room with his sense of humor, story telling and witty jokes.
Scott is survived by his siblings Pam and Mark, children Tyler, Brooke and Drew, and granddaughters Gia, Vera, and Ava.
Scott will be dearly missed and his memory cherished. A memorial in Scott’s honor will be held this Summer 2021 in Colorado Springs, details to follow.
