

He was born on July 19, 1952 in Citizens General Hospital, New Kensington, PA to Ruth (Kirch) and John Gromley of Upper Burrell township.
He graduated from Burrell High School in 1970 and joined the Air Force in 1971. He spent much of his service in England where he met his wife, Linda.
He also spent some time in Italy, Turkey, Florida and his last station was Colorado Springs, where he retired in 1995. He continued working up until a few weeks before his passing.
Growing up he helped with the gardens and watching his younger brothers and sisters. He hunted deer, rabbits, squirrels, etc. He enjoyed reading. He liked westerns and history.
He was a wealth of information. It was amazing what knowledge he had and things he remembered. He was a do it yourself person.
He was a Darts player when stationed in England.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and John Gromley, 3 brothers, Robert, Louis and Joseph. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Linda and his mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
His surviving siblings are John (Devra) Gromley, Isabel (Jonathan) Stevenson, Adele (Barry) Smeltzer, Arlene (Bill) Blissell and Jeff (Sam) Gromley.
There are also many nieces and nephews.
