Stella Mary Pacheco

Stella was born in Los Animas, Colorado to Lee and Jean Gonzales on June 22, 1937. She went to school in Pueblo, Colorado. She married Ruben V Pacheco on Aug 18,1956 in Pueblo, Colorado who passed away Nov. 3,1994. She remarried Juan (Pete) Ruiz on Jan 2, 2016, he passed on April 13, 2017.

Stella worked as a cook for District 11 for 30 years.

She was a devout Catholic and loved spending time with her family, bowling, crafting, traveling and hiking.

Stella is preceded in death by her parents Lee and Jean Gonzales, sisters Esther, Dolores (Dolly), Dorothy, and brother Anthony. Her first husband Ruben V Pacheco and the love of her life Pete Ruiz. Great grandchildren Serena, Brandon and Landon.

Stella is survived by her sisters Lois Feulner, Marie Soto and brother Rick (Valerie) Gonzales. Children Bernard (Joanna) Pacheco, Cynthia L Monty. Rebecca Welch of Las Vegas Nevada, several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren that she loved dearly.

A catholic mass will be held at Corpus Christi Church at 11am, 2318 N Cascade, Colorado Springs, on Jan 12th 2024. A celebration of life will follow the service at Memorial Gardens cemetery from 1-3 pm, 3825 Airport Rd, Colorado Springs.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
