

Steve was born to Louise and Paul Kron on April 25, 1949 in Marion, Indiana, the home state of his father. He moved with his family to Colorado in 1959 at age 10 and spent the next 52 of his 62 years in Colorado Springs with brief periods away for service in the Army National Guard and a job transfer to Phoenix, AZ. A graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Steve was General Manager of Bozarth Oldsmobile prior to its closing and a successful entrepreneur who owned several well known Colorado Springs restaurants to include Sheldon’s and Canyon Coffee and Cafe – which he opened.
Throughout his life, Steve took great pride in his work and found joy in his family, friends and Colorado home.
He is survived by his beloved son, Steven Paul Kron, and his wife Kristy of Cripple Creek, CO, his sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and George Handy, of Alexandria, VA, and his extended family in Colorado and Indiana. He will be forever missed by his family and many friends.
His family invites you to a memorial reception at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 North Cascade, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2011. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held Friday, November 4, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Pauline Chapel of St. Paul Catholic Church, 9 El Pomar Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
