Stormy Coffey, 32, was born July 9, 1993, in Dothan, Alabama, and passed away April 1, 2026. Stormy resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He will be remembered as adventurous, hard-working, loyal, beloved, selfless, and wise—qualities that shaped the way he lived and the way he loved those around him.
Growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, Stormy carried forward a steady sense of determination and heart. Those who knew him best recognized a man who approached life with purpose, and who gave of himself freely to the people and companions he cherished.
Stormy built his working life as a chef and cook, and his passion was cooking. In the kitchen, he was at his best—creating, providing, and caring in the way he knew most naturally. To Stormy, food was never just food; it was a way to bring people together and to make them feel at home.
In 2021, Stormy married Angelica Ruiz. That same year, he welcomed his daughter, Nova, born in May 2021. Stormy was the best dad and a loving husband, and his devotion to his family was clear in the everyday moments—playing and laughing with Nova, and bringing warmth and steadiness to their home.
Outside of work, Stormy’s favorite activities included listening to music, hiking, and going fishing with Cosmo. He was also a talented fire juggler, a remarkable expression of his adventurous spirit and fearless creativity. Those closest to him will especially miss his laugh when he was eating, and the simple joy of seeing him running and playing with his dog, Cosmo, and sharing laughter with his daughter.
Stormy’s favorite saying was “Peace and love is all we need.” In that spirit, he lived with sincerity and presence, valuing what mattered most. His dog, Cosmo, was his best friend and was with him always, even in the end. Stormy’s memory will remain a lasting comfort and a guiding example of loyal love and selfless devotion.
