Susan Carol Crow passed away at the age of fifty-four at Centura Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 14, 2023. After a five-year battle against lymphoma which weakened her immune system, she was unable to recover from a combined case of pneumonia and COVID-19.
She was born in Santa Cruz, California to Albert Junior and Melva June Johnson on December 15, 1968 where she had a wonderful childhood growing up exploring her family’s large ranch in the mountains surrounded by beautiful coastal redwood trees, horses, and a family that loved her.
Susan was dearly loved by her husband, Wade Crow, for 34 years who describes their relationship as magnetic. They were inseparable as they walked the journey of life together.
Graduating from California State University, Stanislaus in January of 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development, Susan used everything she learned to raise her two children. Devoting herself to their care and development was her greatest passion in life. Susan loved her family so much.
Susan always enjoyed travel, exploring new places, and experiencing new things. She created deep and lasting friendships and touched so many lives with her kindness and encouragement. While at home, she was always working on a project around the house, and when at rest, Susan was rarely seen without one of her cats curled up in her lap.
She is survived by her husband Wade Crow, daughter Tiffany Crow, son Tyler Crow, sister Janet Johnson, brother Michael Johnson, brother Robert Johnson, and her siblings’ spouses and children who will always miss her.
She was preceded in death by her father Albert Johnson, mother Melva Johnson, older brother Steven Johnson, and nephew Andy Johnson.
