Suzanne Thiessen Ross

Suzanne was born on April 13, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas to Robert Aaron Thiessen and Martha Ann Hummel. Suzanne was the third of three daughters born to Robert and Martha. Growing up in Wichita she loved to ride her bike, play with her sisters Linda and Kathryn, practice ballet and tap dance, hangout in her treehouse with many friends, and cut people's hair. Suzanne graduated from South East High School in 1977. Suzanne attended college at Wichita State University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

During her early twenties Suzanne met and fell in love with Don Ross. They were married on June 1, 1985 in the chapel at the First Presbyterian Church in Wichita, Kansas. Together they moved to Castle Rock, Colorado where they raised their three sons Nicholas, Phillip, and Michael.

Suzanne earned 15 outstanding awards during annual appraisals in her accounting career with the DCAA. Suzanne loved to travel, spend time with her sons and daughter in law, play with her two grandchildren, and take care of her two golden boys Buster and Barley.

Suzanne is survived by her sister Linda Long of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Kathryn Thiessen of Colorado Springs, Colorado, beloved husband Don Ross of Colorado Springs, Colorado, son Nicholas Ross of Manitou Springs, Colorado, son Phillip Ross and wife Nichole Ross of Berthoud, Colorado, son Michael Ross of Castle Rock, Colorado, and her two grandchildren Gentry Ross and Brannick Ross. Suzanne is preceded in death by her mother Martha Ann Hummel of Wichita, Kansas and father Robert Aaron Thiessen of Wichita, Kansas.

Services will be held on July 22, 2026 at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. 2030 West Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.
