Taegon is the beloved son, youngest of six children. He was born on Thanksgiving day. We joked from the start that he was kicked out of heaven. Named after Catholic Saint Andrew Kim Taegon, the first native Korean priest.
Loyal friend and adventurous companion he valued the essence of relationships and extended his heart and soul to all who he touched. Always a “little” brother to his three older sisters, Jordan (former US Army Captain, Lone Tree, CO), Miah (former US Army Captain now in Colorado Springs, CO) and Reeve (Dallas, TX). A rambunctious and rascally brother to Eisen (Lewis Palmer senior) and a first mate to his oldest brother Hudson, now re-united (former US Army Sergeant).
Survived by grandparents, Frank and Carrie Jane Kwiatkowski in Beverly, MA and Hein and Otjih deBoer in Ridge, NY. Godfather to niece Safiyah.
Schoolmates from St Mary’s in Littleton, CO, Reverend Brown in Sparta, NJ, Creekside in Monument, CO and Lewis-Palmer High School in Monument, CO and Colorado Springs worshipers at Benet Hill Monastery and New Life Church are all alongside him.
How will you remember Taegon, what memories are you treasuring? He is a believer in Jesus’s mercy, grace and forgiveness, a compassionate young man, a tender tiger, proud and generous; showing a Christian spirit in all his actions.
As parents and family we would like to express heartfelt appreciation to all of you for your prayers, thoughts, words, silence and compassion so graciously extended to us. As he gave each of us a unique and special part of his life, coming together at this time we have in a new spiritual way collectively re-established Taegon’s radiant presence. Together we honor him.
Thank you Father God Almighty for entrusting us with Taegon, a precious son in this life and now heavenly united with You. Till “we come to you - Jesus we trust in you and your mercy.”
