Tammy was a woman whose kindness could be felt the moment you met her. She was sweet, witty, graceful, and deeply compassionate. She had a gift for making others feel seen, loved, and welcome, and she gave her heart freely to those around her. Her warmth and laughter brought comfort and joy to countless lives.
She attended James Madison High School in San Antonio, Texas, where she formed lifelong memories and friendships that she carried with her throughout the years.
Above all else, Tammy loved her family. She was a devoted wife to Gregory Wheatley and a proud, loving mother and grandmother whose greatest happiness was found in the people she loved most. Her family was the center of her world, and the legacy of that love will live on through each of them.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Gregory Wheatley; her children: Kailey Wheatley and her children Tenley, Levi, and Beau; Jake Wheatley and his wife Megan, and their children Rilynn, Taylor, and Reese; Amber and her husband Nate, and their children Noah, Benjamin, and Aaron; and Ryan Darilek and his wife Karen, and their children Kaden, Trenton, Brayden, and Jaxson. She is also survived by her mother, Marjorie Nabors; her sisters, Lisa Bullock and DeeDee Delaney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tammy also found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved to paint, travel, spend time with her beloved dog, and create memories with those she adored. Her presence made life brighter, softer, and more beautiful.
Though our hearts are broken by this loss, we are endlessly grateful for the years we were given with her. Tammy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 7, 2026, with additional details to be shared closer to the date.
Tammy was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed, always remembered, and forever carried in our hearts.
