Ted Sanchez, age 64, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2013.
Ted was born on August 11, 1949 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Rodolfo and Criseria (Atencio) Sanchez. He grew up in San Luis Valley and moved to Colorado Springs in the 1960s. He worked as an equipment operator for IBEW.
Ted loved fishing, camping, and dancing. He had a passion for animals, especially horses. Ted was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
He is survived by his father: Rodolfo Sanchez; his brother: Michael (Becky) Sanchez; his sister: Darlene Sanchez; one son: Ricardo (Mindy) Sanchez; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Criseria Sanchez; and a brother: Rudy Sanchez.
A Rosary will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
