

She was born in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota on July 28, 1918, to Carl and Agnes (Ohman) Swenson, who are deceased.
Thelma moved to Colorado Springs in 1942 and married Glea Jones, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by four children, Dennis (Pam) of San Clemente, CA, Judy Luppino (Dominick), Susan Brian (Bruce), Connie Murdoch (Stephen) all from Colorado Springs, one brother, Dick Swenson of Denver: two sisters, Connie McGregor of Blackfoot, ID and Kay Torgerson of Glenwood, MN, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Thelma was loving and caring. She had a deep faith in God and love for her family. She loved gardening, reading, attending and watching all sporting events. She loved music, singing and dancing.
Our memories of our mother will always be in our hearts. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the staff from Alterra Pikes Peak Care and Solamor Hospice for all their support and tender care for Thelma and her family.
The funeral is planned for Wednesday, November 30 at 10:00 a.m., at Swan-Law, 501 N. Cascade Ave. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that family and friends wishing to honor her life make a donation to her favorite charity St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
