Thomas Paul Dobbins MSgt, USAF (RET)

December 29, 1933 – February 28, 2014

USAF MSgt (Ret) Thomas P. Dobbins passed away February 28, 2014. Thomas was born December 29, 1933 in Springfield, MA., to the late Thomas and Cozette Dobbins.

After graduating high school, Thomas enlisted in the United State Air Force. Thomas served honorably in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. After 20 years of dedicated service, he retired as Flight Line Chief at Peterson Air Force Base.

He always kept ‘em flying!

Thomas married his girl, Salvenia Cavaretta, on June 30, 1956. They were happily married for 55 years until Salvenia’s, death in 2011.

Thomas is survived by his children: Thomas (Teresa) Dobbins, Michael Dobbins, Mark (Pia) Dobbins, Patricia (Kevin) Boedigheimer and Christine (Reid) Bishop; grandchildren: Sean, Jasmine, April, Mathew (Kerry), Mark (Kaylee), Sarah (Mike), Jason, Haley (Seph), Zayne (Alyssa), Talon, Lexie (Dexter) and Camryn; great grandchildren: Bailey, Jonathan, Seth, Kaleigh, Chloe and his niece Cathy Dobbins.

A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday, March 14th , 2014 at 10:00 a.m. following the mass, Inurnment will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Contributions can be made in his name to the USO or the American Heart Association.
