Thomas was born November 18th, 1933, in Columbia, South Carolina to (deceased) parents Thomas Sr and Eliza Morant. Thomas was the last-born child to Thomas Sr. and Eliza Morant.
Growing up Thomas loved to work. At 8 years old, he started preaching and continued that until he was 10 years old. At that time, Thomas got his first job and worked until he joined the military at 15 years old. Thomas retired after serving an amazing 21 years. From there Thomas opened his own family-owned janitorial service.
Thomas is survived by his wife Bessie Morant whom he met in 1945 at the age of 13. In 1952, the couple married and later had two children, Thomas Morant Jr (deceased), and Alvin Morant. Thomas had 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
You could always catch him “fixing a thingamajig”, working on cars, watching his favorite Judge Judy and WWE wrestling, and eating cookies in his room. However, most notably, Thomas loved football - especially the Broncos, even though they barely won any games this season.
Thomas was a pilar to his family and community. His presence will be missed dearly.
