Tim E. Rickert

Born June 12, 1958 in Littleton, Colorado to Robert and Beatrice (Brittnacher) Rickert, Tim spent most of his childhood in Phoenix, Arizona. Tim graduated with an Accounting degree from ASU and with a Masters in Taxation from the University of Denver. Tim married his best friend and love of his life, Dawn Ciganek, in 1989.

Tim had a full and rewarding professional career as a Certified Public Accountant in public and private practice. Tim co-founded Exchange Systems Inc. and most recently continued his career in the field of oil and gas and real estate investing. Always steadfast in his faith and the belief in giving his blessings back, Tim served on the boards of Ent Credit Union, Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs and the Colorado Society of CPAs.

Tim's passion was his family. He loved nothing more than to travel and spend time with them, skiing, boating, and working on restoration projects.

His generosity and love knew no bounds; Tim will be greatly missed by many friends and extended family. Besides his loving wife, Dawn, Tim is survived by his children: Kaley, Jadyn, Reed, and McCade. Tim also leaves behind his brothers: Gregg (Lori) of AZ; and Kevin (Bernadette) of MN; and his sisters: Connie of CA; Pauline (Mark) of CO; Jane (Gary) of AZ; Lois of ID; and Barbara (Dan) of AZ; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. Parents Robert and Beatrice Rickert pre-deceased him.

The family will host a visitation on Sunday, July 9, 2017, from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. with Rosary to follow, at Swan Law Funeral Directors. Tim's Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017 at St. Mary's Cathedral, with a reception to follow the service at The Pinery at the Hill.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Catholic Charities of Central Colorado, a cause near and dear to Tim's heart.
