Tim was born on November 30, 1982, in Havre, Montana. The fourth child of Glen and Nancy, Tim was wild and hilarious from the beginning. The family moved numerous times before settling in Colorado Springs in 1994, when Tim began collecting his lifelong group of friends. After graduating from Palmer High School in 2001, he attended PPCC and eventually graduated from CSU. Tim had several jobs over the years, but he looked fondly on his time running Luther’s Leagues adult hockey league. He recently had become a math teacher and football coach at Fountain-Fort Carson High School, where he had found his life’s purpose. He was preceded in death by his mother, who is undoubtedly thrilled that her youngest boy has joined her in eternal life.
Tim’s friends and family are particularly proud of how he transformed his life in the last seven years. Tim had struggled with alcoholism, culminating in a crisis around the time of his mother’s death. During this dark time, Tim had an existential reckoning and was chrismated into the Orthodox Church by Fr. Dennis. Tim survived, quit alcohol, took steps to regain his health, returned to school for a teaching license, and began working as a math teacher in August 2024. Tim’s transformation was nothing short of miraculous.
Tim is survived by his father, siblings Ben, Sara (Roger) LaBrie, and Teresa (Harry) Manesiotis. He is also survived by his three nieces and one nephew, Nia, Viviana, Melina, and Isaac, who miss their Jungle Tim deeply, and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Tim had many friends, but his family is particularly grateful for Kody, Vanessa, Drew, Kyle, Blake, Christy, Jesse, Zach, Bryce, Molly, and their families, for always standing by Tim and supporting him throughout his life.
A visitation for Timothy will be held Monday, September 23, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, 2215 Paseo Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
