T.J.’s life began June 20, 1983, in Texas City, Texas. He grew up in Alvin Texas, where he began his passion of playing football. He went on to play college football for Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, New Mexico, and it was there that he met his wife and soulmate, Natalie. TJ and Natalie started their life together in Alvin, where TJ taught History and coached football at Alvin Jr. High. For the past 7 years their little family resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado where TJ continued teaching history and doing what he loved. He took delight and pride in his work coaching and teaching young students and athletes at North Middle School, and then at Widefield High School where he adored the students and the community and was respected in return.
He was a superhero father, loving husband, and an all-around incredible son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, grandson, teacher, coach, friend, and human. He had a huge heart to serve others, especially his family, friends, students, and athletes. He had a positive and caring influence on so many as he was a brilliant teacher, positive role model on and off the field, and an amazing co-worker and friend. T.J. was an avid and passionate sports fan, never wavering in his devotion to the Clemson Tigers, Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, and any sports his kids would play in. TJ’s infectious smile, giggle, and irresistible character will be deeply missed.
