Vera Tina Herzberg

August 18th, 2024. She was born on December 6th , 1929 in St.Joseph, Missouri to Bruice and Katherine Bonsall. Vera was raised in Clarinda, Iowa where she met her husband LaVon (Lonnie) Herzberg . They had four children: Linda Tonge (AZ) , Steven (AZ), Mark (Denver), and Lisa Sarter (Colorado Springs). Eventually moving to Colorado Springs, Vera was an employee of Ampex Corporation in the 1960”s into the early 1980s. She and Lonnie loved to travel in a RV taking their dogs with them as they went. Vera loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as numerous pets she had adopted over the years.

She was very proud of the care she took of her home after her husband died 24 years ago,especially her flower gardens and roses.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren,and great grandchildren as well as her sister Janice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie,her brother Allen, and sister Martha.

Vera was out spoken with strong opinions and a hardy sense of humor. She will be remembered most for her generous and loving spirit.

No services will be held. Swan-Law will be handling the cremation. Her ashes will be committed to the St. Francis Columbarium, Colorado Springs, along with her husband.
