

Victor “Bert” Albertus Schram, 80, passed away in peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born September 28, 1935 to Martienes and Meinie (Spangenberg) Schram in Djakarta, Indonesia. On September 30, 1962 he married Emilie Louisa “Osa” Visser in Downey, California. Victor left Indonesia December, 1950 and arrived in the Netherlands in January, 1951. It was there he met Emilie Louisa at “The Hema”, which is the Dutch version of a store similar to Target. He followed Emilie by immigrating to the United States by boat in 1960. He was an airline mechanic for Continental Airlines, and worked for McDonnell Douglas/Hughes/Boeing on projects like the Apache Helicopter. He was an active member of the Church of Christ for many years of his life, including serving as a deacon at several churches. Survivors include his wife Osa Schram; son, Timothy Schram (Garry Zachman); daughter Michelle (Mike) Genung; grandchildren Sean, Rachel, Rebekah, and Melanie; brother, Auguust “Guus”; sister, Yessika “Yessy”; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ferdinand “Ferry”, John, Marinus “Rinus”, Richard; and sister, Irma “Erie”. A time of gathering will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at the Church of Christ in Colorado Springs. Online condolences can be left on Victor A.
