Obituary of Virginia Elaine Craig
IN THE CARE OF

Swan-Law Funeral Directors

Virginia Craig, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at the age of 80, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Born on June 27, 1945, in Hartsel, Colorado, Virginia was the sixth of ten children of George and Mildred (Robbins) Overholt. She grew up in a close-knit family and graduated from Evergreen High School in Jefferson County, Colorado.

After high school, Virginia began a career with Mountain Bell Telephone Company, where she worked for over 30 years. It was during her time there that she met the love of her life, Gary Craig. The two were married in 1967 and built a life together in the Colorado Springs area, raising their daughter, Toni.

Virginia had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. She loved taking long walks, watching wildlife in her neighborhood, solving puzzles, and—most of all—spending time with her family. She and Gary shared 57 wonderful years of marriage, often traveling and exploring many destinations across the United States.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters Evelyn and Julia; and brothers Donald, Luis, and Raymond.

Virginia is survived by her devoted husband, Gary; daughter Toni Seberger (James); grandsons Christopher Jones and Aaron Seberger (Ronni); great-grandsons Kaleb Ranck and Jason Jones; brothers Harry and Dan Overholt; and sisters Shirley Emmert and Joyce Mount.

Virginia will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love for family, and the quiet strength with which she lived her life.
